  • Devices: Apple Silicon or Intel Mac
  • Storage: ~1 GB (includes AI model for receipt scanning)

iCloud (Optional)

  • iCloud account (your Apple ID)
  • iCloud Drive enabled
  • Used only if you want to sync across devices

Download Money In & Out from the App Store:

Download on the App Store

  1. Open the App Store on your device
  2. Search for "Money In & Out"
  3. Tap "Get" to download
  4. Open the app

Why Is The App 1.02 GB?

The app includes a complete AI model (Qwen3 1.7B) for receipt scanning. This ensures 100% privacy - all processing happens on your device, no cloud services.

First Launch

When you first open Money In & Out:

  1. Welcome Screen - Brief introduction to the app
  2. iCloud Sync Prompt - Choose whether to enable sync (optional)
  3. Ready to Use - Start adding transactions!

Categories are created automatically as you add transactions - no setup needed.

iCloud Sync

iCloud sync is ON by default if you have iCloud Drive enabled. Your data automatically syncs across all your devices.

How It Works

  • Automatic - Syncs in the background without any setup
  • Seamless - Works across iPhone, iPad, and Mac
  • Private - Data encrypted in your iCloud account
  • No action needed - Just sign in with the same Apple ID on all devices

Turn Off iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you prefer to keep data local only and NOT sync across devices:

On iPhone/iPad

  1. Open Settings app
  2. Tap [Your Name] at the top (Apple Account, iCloud and more)
  3. Tap iCloud
  4. Tap Saved to iCloud (or Apps Using iCloud)
  5. Find Money In & Out and toggle OFF
  6. Choose "Keep on My iPhone/iPad" or "Delete from My iPhone/iPad"

On Mac

  1. Open System Settings
  2. Click [Your Name] (Apple Account)
  3. Click iCloud
  4. Click Saved to iCloud (or Apps Using iCloud)
  5. Find Money In & Out and toggle OFF
  6. Choose "Keep on My Mac" or "Delete from My Mac"

Turning Off Sync

If you turn off iCloud sync, your data will only be stored locally on that device. Changes won't sync to your other devices.

Install on Multiple Devices

To use Money In & Out on all your devices:

  1. Download from App Store on each device
  2. Sign in with the same Apple ID
  3. Enable iCloud sync on all devices
  4. Your data will sync automatically

Troubleshooting

App Won't Download

  • Check your internet connection
  • Ensure you have enough storage space
  • Try restarting your device
  • Check App Store for system requirements

iCloud Sync Not Working

  • Verify iCloud Drive is enabled
  • Check you're signed in with the same Apple ID
  • Ensure you have iCloud storage available
  • Try toggling iCloud sync off and on

App Won't Open

  • Restart your device
  • Check for iOS/macOS updates
  • Reinstall the app if needed

Uninstalling

If you need to remove Money In & Out:

iPhone/iPad

  1. Long press the app icon
  2. Tap "Remove App"
  3. Choose "Delete App"

Mac

  1. Open Finder
  2. Go to Applications
  3. Drag Money In & Out to Trash
  4. Empty Trash

Data Deletion

Uninstalling the app will remove local data. If iCloud sync is enabled, your data remains in iCloud and will restore if you reinstall the app.
